Manager of Facilities Services at BCIT

Manage operations and projects at BCIT’s specialty campuses as the full-time Manager of Facilities Services. Focus on the maintenance and operational excellence across diverse facilities. This position requires a strong background in facilities management, including project planning and execution. You will develop maintenance programs and oversee budgets to streamline operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety protocols are met. Your leadership will be key in fostering effective work relationships among teams and optimizing facility services. Key Responsibilities:

• Direct maintenance upgrades and renovation projects
• Optimize energy management practices and compliance
• Develop project planning databases for facility assets
• Engage in continuous financial process improvement
• Ensure effective team performance and training

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar discipline
• 3-5 years of managerial experience, preferably in unions
• Training in safety and compliance practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
