(CAN) Compliance Lead

Position Summary
To collaborate with all levels including Store Management, Market Management, and Subject Matter Experts. They will be responsible for the education of associates and managers on compliance programs. This will involve the monitoring of compliance controls in their respective facility, identification of root cause, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement with the intent to build trust with customers, associates, stakeholders, and regulatory entities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compliance and safety awareness leveraging Ethics and Compliance resources.
- Drive compliance improvement by conducting assessments in their facility across designated compliance subject matter areas such as Health & Safety/Fire Code; Environmental; Consumer Protection; Anti Money Laundering; Food Safety/Pest Control; Privacy & Employment; Licenses & Permits; Anti-Corruption.
- Deliver on the spot compliance training at all levels within the facility including delivering the Compliance portion of new associate orientation.
- Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and/or trends, identify root causes and support the creation and execution of action plans that mitigate risk and drive compliance execution.
- Participate in regulatory visits (except Health & Wellness and Human Resource related matters) including online submission and engaging the appropriate partners for resolution of orders or fines.
- Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process including online submission, accident investigations, modified offer letters and follow up until resolution.
- Foster two-way communication with Store Management to support attendance management, progress note completion, and accountability as required.
- Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders.
- Submit and follow up on Facilities Maintenance requests, including management of pest activity.
- Leverage escalation tools to resolve issues and outstanding tickets.
- Conduct safety walks and inspections as an active safety team member and follow up on action items identified through Safety Team meeting notes and inspections.
