Class 1 Live Haul Driver - Night Shift

Role

The Class 1 driver exhibits a commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of regulatory compliances . The ideal candidate will demonstrate timeliness in all tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met with efficiency and accuracy. Exceptional communication skills , both written and spoken , are essential, as the role requires clear and effective interaction with team members and stakeholders at all levels. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, are key to success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Local trips to poultry farms located between Surrey and Agassiz
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment
• Safety must come first daily
• On-time delivery
• Excellent attendance
• Delivering live poultry from local farms to processing plants

Requirements

• Class 1 Driver's License
• Minimum 2 years experience driving tractor trailer unit
• Must have experience at backing and maneuvering a tractor trailer unit in tight areas
• Manual transmission experience / NO automatic transmission restriction

Working Conditions

• NIGHT SHIFT: Sunday to Thursday
• Paid by the load, average is 12 - 14 loads per week(2 or 3 loads per night)
• You are not required to load or unload your trailer
• NO Out of Province & NO Border Crossing Trips
• Company owned well maintained truck
• Home Daily / Weekends off

$80,000 - $80,000 a year

Extended Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance package when qualified.
