Enhance financial integrity as the Manager of Pension Accounting for Memorial University's pension plan. Oversee compliance and financial reporting within this leadership role. This strategic position within the Pension Services Office focuses on financial oversight for a sizable defined benefit pension plan. Reporting to the Director of Pension Services, you’ll play a vital role in financial audits, investment income reporting, and ensuring effective internal controls. Your contributions will guide the financial sustainability of pension operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP in financial practices
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Manage pension plan cash flow and budgeting processes
  • Conduct audits to evaluate workflows and internal controls
  • Supervise and support staff development initiatives
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial operations management
  • CPA designation essential
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse groups effectively
