Senior Product Engineer for Pluggable Modems

Ciena Corporation

Elevate your career at Ciena as a Senior Product Engineer specializing in pluggable optical modules. This role focuses on driving innovation and enhancing product lifecycle management. At Ciena, you’ll lead the development and definition of next-generation pluggable optical modules such as QSFP-DD and OSFP. Your work will involve collaboration with R&D and Operations teams to define product specs and achieve successful launches. You will manage yield performance monitoring and recommend improvements, ensuring competitive products are delivered to the market. Key Responsibilities:

Define product specifications for optical modules
Collaborate with R&D and Operations for successful launches
Monitor and improve manufacturing yield performance
Perform statistical analysis on production data
Oversee product lifecycle activities and revisions

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Optical Engineering
4+ years in product engineering or management
Knowledge of optical transmission technologies
Experience with optical component technologies
Record in managing products throughout their lifecycle
