CONTINUING CARE ASSISTANT,

The Wolfville Nursing Home is a privately owned, Long Term Care Facility in the town of Wolfville in Nova Scotia's beautiful Annapolis Valley. We provide quality care to 66 residents.

Wolfville is just one hour from Halifax and is the cultural center of the Annapolis Valley. Excellent accommodation choices, fine dining and boutique shopping in our small university town. Reporting to the RN Supervisor the Continuing Care Assistant is accountable for providing personal care, support and non-certified services necessary in caring for personal needs and comfort of residents. The CCA ensures and maintains the quality of care given to residents on his/her assigned 1st or 2nd floor units. The CCA responds to each resident's care needs in accordance with the individual resident's care plan and in a coordinated, cooperative manner with members of the staff team. The CCA enhances the focus on safety and positivity contributes to the culture of safety. The CCA follows safety procedures such as WHMIS and Fire Safety.

The ability and willingness to work all shift (days, evenings and nights, weekends and holidays) is a requirement of this position.

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $20.96-$27.54 per hour

• Day shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• On call
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
