We are currently looking for Pilot at our Grande Prairie base in the Aviation department. Please note, there is a touring option available for this role. The touring pilot position will require you to be scheduled on a rotation that is generally made up of 8-12 days on followed by 8-12 days off, following a pattern of 4-6 days, 4-6 nights, 8-12 off. Your schedule will be set and communicated by STARS within the last 3 months of the preceding year for following year.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively pilot STARS aircraft
• Maintain a category 1 aviation medical
• Maintain currency and proficiency with respect to:
  • • Aircraft flown
    • Regulations
    • Publications
    • Training standards
    • Licensing requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current aircraft captain or be eligible to upgrade to captain in 6 months
• A valid Commercial Rotary Wing Licence
• A minimum of 1000 hours of helicopter experience
• Multi-Engine and Night/IFR experience desirable
• Helicopter Airline Transport Licence exams completed
• Group 4 Instrument rating and Helicopter Night Ratings are required
• Valid Class 1 medical
• Airbus H145 type rating will be considered an asset
• Ability to successfully complete the Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application for Night Vision Goggle purposes
• Immunization records with required vaccinations
• The position requires the applicant to work a schedule of day and night shifts to make our 24/7/365 patient care mission possible

• All Pilot roles have bona fide occupational requirements, e.g., physical standards, that are integral to fulfilling the role. These are detailed in the Pilot Physical Demands Analysis that is shared during the recruitment selection process.
• All Pilot roles are required to wear personal protective equipment.
