We are very pleased to be working alongside our friendly and welcoming medical based client as they seek to recruit a HR and Payroll Administrator for their team in the Heathfield area

HR and Payroll Administrator

Heathfield area with parking available for all staff. Due to workplace location you will need to be a driver and have your own transport - no public transport options nearby

Full time permanent role - Monday - Friday (Apply online only) or (Apply online only). Office based role.

Salary 32000- 34000 plus good all round company benefits

The role - HR and Payroll Administrator

My client is seeking an organised and proactive HR & Payroll Administrator to join their friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR experienced candidate who enjoys a varied role encompassing HR administration, payroll, recruitment support, employee relations and HR systems management.

You will play a key role in delivering an efficient and professional HR service while supporting employees and managers across the organisation.

Duties and responsibilities include -

HR Administration

  • Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters and other HR documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files
  • Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee queries
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities

Payroll Administration

  • Lead the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and submit payroll data within agreed timescales
  • Liaise with payroll providers and resolve payroll queries efficiently

HR Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain and update HR systems and employee data
  • Produce HR reports and insights using Excel and other reporting tools
  • Support data analysis to inform HR decision-making

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Assist with absence management processes
  • Support disciplinary, grievance and other employee relations matters
  • Ensure HR practices comply with current employment legislation and company policies

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to HR projects and policy development
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function

Experience, skills and competencies required:

  • Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualified
  • Previous HR administration experience
  • Experience administering payroll and resolving payroll queries
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Professional, approachable and pro-active attitude
