What You Will Do
The Coordinator, Artist Services is responsible for the impression people receive when they first walk
through our doors. You will intuitively exude professional friendliness that makes it clear we are an inclusive and safe space. In addition, you will embrace the opportunity to form connections with our artists living with disabilities and establish yourself as the go to person for their questions and concerns.
You are warm, yet efficient, and confident in your ability to maintain a smooth operation as it pertains to the management of artist registration and participation in our programs. This position requires initiative to strike the appropriate balance between ensuring you are aware of and available to artists who are present on site, maintaining oversight of the front desk and phones, and efficient administration of artist services. The CAS will work closely with the Manager, Operations and Artist Services as well as the studio team to ensure consistency in artist care and appropriate distribution of Artist Service's needs.
• Front Desk & Administration – supports the smooth daily operation of the front desk by maintaining a welcoming, organized, and safe environment; responding to visitors, artists, callers, and general
inquiries; processing payments and daily sales records; managing mail and coverage needs; and
coordinating basic phone, internet, SharePoint, and ProClass support with the appropriate service
desks.
• Artist Services – supports artist participation and program access by managing attendance,
registration, intake, referrals, artist data, and program scheduling, while serving as a key point of
contact for artists, support networks, PDD, Calgary Access, and the public. The role also supports clear communication about programs and events, responds to questions about program options,
coordinates tours and meetings as needed, maintains confidential records and consents, and provides
administrative support to the programming team.
• Safety & Facility – supports the safe and effective operation of the facility by coordinating cleaning,
maintenance, repairs, inspections, and seasonal safety needs, including lift servicing, lighting
replacement, snow and ice management, WHMIS documentation, and monthly fire drills. The role also
liaises with cleaning, maintenance, repair, and safety personnel as needed to ensure the facility remains clean, functional, compliant, and safe for artists, staff, and visitors.
Experience and Skills You’ll Bring
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a fast-paced administrative role.
• Highly proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to report basic statistics; extrapolate simple data and convert to legible reporting.
• Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to speak and write effectively and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional Skills + Abilities Considered Asset
• Experience working with individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities.
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of FOIP regulations
• ASL

Compensation & Working Hours
• $44,000 – 47,000/annum commensurate with
experience
• Full benefits
