Sr. Freeze Plant Operator

The Role
Cameco is looking for a motivated individual to join our production and technical services team at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan. As a member of the production and technical services team, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our sites ammonia freeze plants.

In this role, you will:
-Start/stop compressors as required, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and --conduct operator care rounds in a variety of environments
-Assist in the operation and oversight of the freeze well system, maintaining daily coordination and communication with supervisors and trades personnel as needed
-Enter daily reports into a computerized database
-Create work orders and notifications in SAP

Required:
-minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent;
-refrigeration Engineer certification; must be registered with TSASK as a Refrigeration -Engineer or able to obtain registration within 6 months of start date;
-minimum 3 years of experience operating a refrigeration plant, preferably an ammonia based system;
-good written and verbal communication skills;
-excellent safety record; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:
3rd year Power Engineering or 3rd year (or greater) Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic;
experience with ammonia-based refrigeration systems;
experience with SAP, SIGGA, Bentley, or similar software; and
comfortable using Microsoft Office/MS365 software.
