The client in Oshawa, Ontario, is seeking a Controls Engineer to facilitate the rapid development of EV and PHEV vehicles. The role includes the integration of HIL models with vehicle hardware and conducting extensive troubleshooting on mechatronic components. Ideal candidates will exhibit strong troubleshooting skills in automotive electrical systems and a commitment to staying abreast of evolving technology. Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate and validate agile HIL simulation models
- Design and develop automotive data communication systems
- Conduct collaborative troubleshooting with engineering teams
- Address bench issues related to CAN and Ethernet protocols
- Document and improve HIL simulation tools and models
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Mechatronics
- 2+ years with dSPACE HIL platforms
- Experience with automotive embedded control testing
- Familiarity with testing tools like VSpy or CANoe
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and Controls Theory
