Job Responsibility:
Position Title: Fertility Nurse
Work Site/Location: Blossom Fertility & Medical Clinic
Employment Status: Maternity Relief (10-25 hours a week)
Days of Work: Monday to Friday 9am-2pm
Start Date: June/July 2025 (TBD)
Duration: Maternity Relief (One year with potential for long term position)
Wage: Dependent on Experience
: Common, day-to-day tasks of the reproductive/fertility nurse include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides and co-ordinates prenatal and fertility nursing care to clients
- Assisting clients in a non-judgmental way through the infertility treatment process
- Educating clients and their loved ones on medical terminology, procedures, and the available treatment options
- Acting as a liaison between clients, their families, physicians, and specialists
- Offering emotional support to clients and their loved ones
- Counseling couples and donors throughout the process
- Teaching medication administration to clients/their families
- Administering In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) medications
- Assisting clients through the process of finding sperm donors
- Performing IUI wash and procedures
- Coordinating scheduling of fertility treatments between clients/their partners, physicians and the medical team
- Assisting with prenatal appointments or pre-procedural physicals
- Initiating IV infusions
- Blood draws
- Speculum exams for IUI's and Pap tests
Qualifications:
RN (BSCN Degree)
Current Registration with BC College of Nursing Professionals as a practicing RN registrant
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR-C
Related experience in Maternity/Labour and Delivery or equivalent training/education and/or experience

Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 12 months
Pay: $50.00-$62.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
