Seeking Experienced Nanny Location: Home near Christie and Bloor, Toronto, Ontario Salary: $25/hr, 20 hours per week. Start Date: Monday, April 6th About this job Calling all experienced nannies in Toronto, Ontario! We are a bilingual family with a two-year-old and a soon-to-arrive newborn. We are in search of a reliable and nurturing nanny to lend a helping hand with baby startig when he is two-months old as well as occasionally with our toddler, who will be in daycare full-time. We require someone for a live-out, part-time position - ideally looking for 20 hours a week. This can be divided into several half days or three full days, depending on our schedules. Our ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and capable of multitasking in a busy household. As our nanny, you will primarily be responsible for providing dedicated care to our infant. This could include feeding him, playing with him in his playpen and taking him to the park. We are also looking for someone comfortable assisting with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and occasional pet care (if you’re home when we’re not, we’d want you to feed our dog; if you’re going for a walk, we’d want you to take both the dog and our daughter). Our dog is a four-year old Aussiedoodle. She is sweet and patient and likes playing fetch in our backyard, licking her sister's highchair after meals, and cuddling on the couch. We are offering a competitive rate of $25 hourly for the right candidate who meets our requirements. Requirements: Experience: Previous nanny or childcare experience, particularly with infants or toddlers, is necessary. Experience with infants around 2 months old is a plus. Childcare Skills: Ability to provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for a young child. Comfortable with feeding, diapering, engaging in playtime, and taking the child on walks to the park. Multitasking & Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage various tasks in a busy household, including child care, light housekeeping, and meal prep. Pet Care: Comfortable with light pet care duties, such as walking the family dog (a friendly Aussiedoodle). Ability to care for both child and pet together during outings is ideal. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with parents and follow instructions clearly. Nice to Haves: First Aid & CPR Certification: Certification in infant/child First Aid and CPR is a strong asset. G-class license: If you’re comfortable driving we may give you access to our car to drive our children access to parks with better bucket swings. Experience with Bilingual Households: Familiarity with working in bilingual environments, particularly with English and French, would be a bonus. Pet Care Experience: Prior experience with dogs, especially large or active breeds, is a plus. Bilingual: While not required, fluency in both English and French would be an asset, as this is a bilingual family.
