There's a seat at our table for you...Position: Class 5 Driver (Driver In Training - D.I.T ) - DeltaSchedule: 4 X 10 | Floater | Night Shift (5pm start)Position OverviewThe Class 5 Delivery Driver (Driver in Training) will work with the Transportation Lead Trainer to learn all aspects and responsibilities of the role, including, but not limited to customer service, pre / post trip, safety and company policies, procedures and practices. In addition, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience to become a Class 1 Local Delivery Driver. Upon completion of the training program, the Class 5 Delivery Driver will be expected to operate the delivery vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules of the road, and follow all appropriate company policies and procedures.Required Skills And QualificationsValid Class 5 license or higher with a clean driver’s abstract is requiredAbility to lift up to 60 pounds frequentlyMust be willing to obtain Class 1 Learners and Air Brakes CertificationEligibility for bonding based on the results of a criminal record checkStrong customer service skillsHigh level of personal integrity and strong work ethicProfessional demeanour under stressful situationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to work with little or no supervision; must be self-directedAvailability on weekends and holidays.
