Starting Salary: $26.50-$36.00/hour

The Opportunity

The Turnaround Event Planning Intern will support the refinery Turnaround (TA) team in planning large scale maintenance events. This role provides hands‑on exposure to large‑scale shutdown planning and scheduling in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Turnaround Event Manager with staff planning, turnaround execution plans and training plans.
• Assist in developing and maintaining turnaround work scope, schedules, and task tracking tools.
• Help prepare planning documents, reports, and readiness reviews.
• Participate in field walkdowns to validate scope and readiness.
• Participant in core team meetings and readiness reviews.
• Assist with turnaround improvements and lesson learned initiatives from past events.

Education

• Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Process/Chemical Technology, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with scheduling software is an asset.
• Strong ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated interest in industrial operations, maintenance, or project execution.
