Community-Based Research Facilitator Wood Buffalo

Support Indigenous health initiatives as a Community-Based Research Facilitator with Aunties Within Reach in the Wood Buffalo region. Collaborate with communities to enhance maternal and child well-being.

This role is integral for the Aunties within Reach (AWR) program, offering a chance to create substantial community impact. Engaging with Indigenous populations, you will coordinate research activities, support health evaluations, and foster collaborations among Elders and community leaders. Integral to this effort is creating culturally grounded and community-responsive research that informs healthcare access.

Key Responsibilities: • Build respectful relationships with community members and partners • Coordinate community engagement events and activities • Assist with research data collection and participant recruitment • Develop accessible knowledge-sharing products from research • Track projects and ensure alignment with community priorities

Requirements: • Undergraduate degree in relevant field • 2-3 years in community engagement or health promotion • Experience with Indigenous communities and health programs • Strong communication and organizational skills • Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel
