Our client is a health care provider. They are looking for Finance Business Partner who will be responsible for budget preparation, monitoring and forecasting, and all associated activities and responsibilities related to these areas.

The incumbent has a deep understanding of program operations and utilizes this knowledge to provide key partnership and support.

About the Opportunity

• Lead the development of clinical and non-clinical program annual and multi-year operating budgets, assessing and advising on key drivers to performance.
• Perform monitoring and forecasting of budgets on a risk-based approach.
• Manage, challenge and influence assumptions used by budget holders to achieve expected financial results.
• Utilize a deep understanding of program operations, including knowledge of procedures, cases and services in clinical areas, to appraise and confirm budget assumptions.
• Provide insight into cost drivers and materials utilization.
• Recommend increases to budgeted financials or changes in resource utilization.
• Implement service planning / cost-saving processes.
• Guide and support Vice Presidents, Program Directors and budget holders to ensure mitigation strategies are identified and implemented in-year to ensure Ministry-committed results are achieved.
• Collectively, Finance Business Partners coordinate the development and consolidation of the Network’s annual and multi-year operating budget.
• Perform monitoring and forecasting of budgets at a network-wide level.
• Support stakeholders and escalate risks and opportunities to senior decision-makers.
• Lead quarterly reassessment of program financial forecasts, utilizing historical and current trends and performance drivers to confirm updated financial expectations.
• Consolidate network-wide quarterly reforecasting and communicate drivers to expected outcomes to the Board.
• Design and execute formal training for financial planning tools across the Network’s budget holders.

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration and/or relevant field is required.
• Master’s degree or relevant experience in Health/Hospital Administration, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
• Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of seven years progressive financial experience.
• A minimum of five years progressive financial analysis experience.
• A minimum of three years’ experience supporting business units or program areas.
• A minimum of three years partnering with and supporting senior decision-makers.
• Previous experience with a non-profit healthcare system preferred.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting for large, complex organizations.

Salary Range

$90,000 - $95,000/year
