KITCHEN GENERAL HELPER / DISHWASHER

Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen General Helper / Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. Previous kitchen or restaurant experience will be helpful, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware.
Assist with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties.
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dish washing areas.
Sweep, mop, clean equipment, work surfaces, sinks, and storage areas.
Remove garbage and recycling and maintain waste areas.
Restock kitchen and cleaning supplies.
Assist the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly kitchen cleaning duties.
Complete closing duties and ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and ready for the next day's operation.
Report equipment, maintenance, or sanitation concerns to management.
Cleaning Responsibilities
Daily: Dishes, floors, sinks, work surfaces, equipment, garbage, and general kitchen sanitation.
Weekly: Deep cleaning of floors, equipment, shelving, storage areas, refrigerators/freezers, sinks, drains, and hard-to-reach areas.
Monthly: Full kitchen deep cleaning, including equipment, floors, walls, storage areas, refrigerators/freezers, and other scheduled sanitation tasks.
Requirements
Previous kitchen, dishwasher, or restaurant experience is an asset.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen items safely.
Food Safety Certification is an asset.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
