About the Job \n
\nThe Registered Nurse: \n
\n• Provides nursing care to emergency patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team\n
\n• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers\n
\n• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice\n
\n• Maintains and advances own clinical competence\n
\n• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned\n
\n
This is a Permanent Part Time (0.80) opportunity. \n
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 08:00 to 20:00, 20:00 to 08:00 hours. \n

About this location/unit: \n
\nBoundary Hospital's emergency department has 10 stretchers and 1 trauma bay. This rural but very busy department typically sees 1300 emergency visits each month. Also on site are 12 acute care beds, a number of outpatient services and an adjoining residential care facility.\n
\n
