Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our team. Our ideal candidate would be described as a dedicated team player and a reliable independent worker. We are seeking to grow our team by adding a positive and punctual employee. Within this role, you can expect to excel in the ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking , and working independently as well as in a team. Excellent customer service.
Given this is an administrative role, we aspire to seek someone who has excellent communication skills both in French and English, experience with OSCAR EMR system and working knowledge of medical terminology will be considered a prioritizing asset.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients at the front desk
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Verify patient health card information and collect co-pays
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Invoice patients and third party
- Confirm online booking
- Order medical supplies
- Arrange staffing schedule
- Book consultations to a specialist working in the office
- Enter various forms in the EMR
- Manage physicians schedules
- Update information on clinic website
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and software, including electronic medical records (OSCAR EMR)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Bilingualism is an asset ( English and French)
