Mechanical engineer

Transtex develops and manufactures leading-edge aerodynamic solutions that help semi-trailer fleets significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Based in Montreal and operating across North America we have been driving more sustainable transportation for over twenty years.

What Youll Do

• Design and engineer practical mechanical and electromechanical solutions with manufacturability and end-user satisfaction and safety in mind.
• Plan execute and document the design build testing and prototyping of new and derivative products.
• Work directly and successfully with a team internal and external customers and suppliers.

What Were Looking For

• A university degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering combined with relevant experience in projects demanding mechanical design expertise.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of multi-disciplinary physical products.
• Proven ability to apply mechanical and manufacturing engineering fundamentals to successfully solve design challenges.
• Proficient with computer aided design and engineering tools (e.g. SolidWorks FEA Excel Jira).
• The ability to successfully communicate ideas visually verbally and in writing.
• Understanding of DFMEA DVP&R and root cause analysis methods.
