Become the Challenge Course and Initiatives Team Lead at YMCA John Island Camp in Spanish, Ontario. Focus on adventurous programming while managing staff and ensuring safety. The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is looking for an experienced leader to create exciting challenge course experiences for campers. In this role, you will plan various programs, oversee staff training, and ensure a safe environment for participants. Your commitment to program quality and staff development will be essential throughout the summer camp season. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead adventure programs including high and low ropes
• Supervise and mentor challenge course staff
• Ensure operational safety and well-being of program participants
• Conduct daily equipment inspections
• Collaborate with Camp Director on local procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years working at summer camps
• Knowledge of challenge course safety and management
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to effectively train challenge course staff
• Satisfactory Police Record Check required
