Senior Mechanical Testing Engineer

Lead mechanical testing and finite element analysis as a Senior R&D Engineer focused on impact protection validation and technical conclusions.This senior engineering role covers testing, simulation, material modeling, and product validation. You will own assigned R&D programs from design through validation while communicating recommendations during development reviews. The work requires autonomy across the full testing and validation cycle.Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute mechanical and impact testing campaignsPerform explicit dynamic finite element simulationsCorrelate simulation results with physical testingDevelop and validate material modelsPresent technical conclusions and recommendations during reviewsRequirements:
Six-plus years in an R&D engineering roleBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringHands-on testing setup, instrumentation, acquisition, and analysis experienceProficiency with LS-DYNA, Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalentOIQ membership or eligibility for membershipApply mechanical testing, explicit dynamic FEA, and simulation-to-test correlation across demanding R&D validation programs.
