Overview: The Plant Administrator is a key member of the operations team; expense tracking, supporting data management and system reporting. The Plant Administrator will work closely with the field operations to ensure best practices are followed. The Plant Administrator will effectively manage and process the administrative functions for the aggregate plants which include finance, forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, resolving supplier invoice issues, inventory, and equipment maintenance. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in supporting operations in the Abbotsford area and will be required to work in person at our designated office location. Responsibilities:

• Safety Culture: Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment and areas. Adhere to all Lafarge safety policies and procedures while promoting a positive safety culture through leadership by example. Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety rules and country regulations.
• Financial Management: Complete accurate mid-month and monthly EBIT financial forecast, request PO for purchase expenses and process receiving records. Assist plant managers with monthly expense accruals, pcard purchases and T&E reports. Create purchase orders and receiving records for Ariba system purchases. Mange and setup invoicing plans for HME leases and rentals. Create check requisitions, submit government remittances as well as track and issue purchase requisitions for all CAPEX projects ensuring the buy ways policy is in compliance. Allocate and reconcile fuel consumption to all site specific equipment. Maintain consistent tracking of equipment hours, issue equipment maintenance notifications and work orders to ensure preventative maintenance KPI's are met. Track work orders for costing purposes and provide information to plant managers. Provide daily and weekly reporting to Land Owners for Royalty submission.
• Vendor Focus: Ensuring all vendors meet Lafarge's policy within Avetta before requesting Purchase orders. Create new vendor request while maintain existing records. Resolving supplier invoice discrepancies between supplier and Financial Services Center. Maintain frequent action of SAP workflow to ensure vendor and supplier payments are generated within Lafarge's terms. Resolve SAP vendor exceptions (GR creation, invoice adjustments, etc)
• Production Management: Work closely with plant managers to accurately track production, reprocessing, sales, internal and external imported material minimizing write-offs, and variances and ensuring targets are met.
• Labor Management: Responsible for processing payroll for all plant personnel ensuring cost center coding and work orders are assigned accurately. Submit employee vacation request forms and new hire packages. Ensure the timely, consistent and accurate entry of labor hours/overtime hours. Make adjustment to employee files for tracking purposes.

Relationships with Others Functions:

• Works closely with Plant Managers, Assistant Plant Managers, Finance Manager, Operations Manager, Production Engineer, other Plant Administrators, NABS and Field Personnel.

Specific Accountabilities:

• Safety: JHSC meeting, Adherence to LOTOTO, Policies and procedures
• Labor: Cost center coding, forecast reporting, Union and labor relations policies are followed
• Production: Manufacturing KPI's, Maintenance management, Daily/weekly/monthly production tracking, Inventory Reconciliation, External & STO sales reporting
• Vendor Focus: Vendor records, Payment terms are adhered to, main workflow, Valuable working relationship
• Financial: Accurate forecasting, Adherence to purchasing policies and procedures

Qualification Profile: Education/Experience:

• A post-secondary education is required, preferably with an Accounting Diploma or other Business Administration background.
• 3 - 5 years of accounting experience is preferred in addition to other relevant construction materials experience

Rate of pay:

• $27.00 - $30.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
