Advise TD Commercial Banking in Toronto using complex financing expertise and practical legal judgment. Support business teams within a 37.5-hour workweek.As Senior Counsel, you will advise Canadian Commercial Banking teams serving commercial clients across industries. Your work spans secured lending, leasing, structured financing, security documentation, and legal risk. You will support Small Business Banking, Commercial Banking, National Accounts, and specialty banking teams. The role requires bilingual English and French communication, Canadian legal licensing, and deep financial services experience.Key Responsibilities:
Advise on complex commercial lending and structured financing transactionsDraft and negotiate financing and security documentationGuide teams on security, priority, perfection, and enforcementProvide risk-based advice on operational and transaction issuesDeliver training on lending, security, and legal risksRequirements:
JD or LLB degree, or equivalent professional qualificationGood-standing Canadian provincial Bar admission and law license10+ years’ financial services experience in complex transactionsKnowledge of PPSA and RDPRM requirementsMandatory written and spoken English and FrenchBring commercial lending, secured financing, and bilingual legal expertise to TD’s Canadian Banking legal team in Toronto.
