About the Position:
Jarnail Samra is seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to a senior client in a private residence in Brampton, Ontario. The successful candidate will support the client’s daily living needs, promote independence, maintain a clean and safe home environment, and provide companionship and assistance with routine activities.

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years

Work Setting
On site – Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Administer bedside and personal care to the client.
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
Administer medications as authorized and appropriate.
Assist the client with regular exercise and walking.
Feed or assist the client with feeding when necessary.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to the client’s dietary requirements.
Plan therapeutic diets and menus as required.
Cook meals and maintain appropriate food hygiene practices.
Launder clothing, household linens, and bed linens.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized living environment.
Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and recreational activities.
Shop for food, household supplies, and other essential items.
Monitor the client’s general well-being and report noticeable changes to the appropriate family member or healthcare professional.
Encourage the client to maintain independence and participate in daily activities as much as possible.
Follow appropriate hygiene, safety, and infection-prevention practices while providing care.
