Mechanical Design Engineer - Agilus Work Solutions (Burlington)

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer in the customer equipment industry in Burlington, Ontario.

A typical day:

• Creation of 3D models using Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
• Creation of 2D drawings and schematics using Autodesk Auto CAD or Inventor
• Support the design and optimization of systems
• Preparation of design calculations
• Create Part Numbers in the PCS and VAULT system
• Assist with the creation of project related documentation and design specifications
• Interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly. Creation of O&M; manuals, BOMS
• Work with other engineering disciplines (e.g. process, electrical, software) to ensure integrated and well-functioning products and system

Successful candidates will have:

• 3-5 years experience in designing custom made equipment for heavy industrial industries
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks and AutoCAD
• Experience working with PDM (preferable Autodesk VAULT) and ERP software
• Preparation of design calculations
• Reading, understanding and creation of pneumatic/hydraulic schematics
• Solid English verbal and written communication skills
