Journeyperson Electrician

Are you an experienced Electrician looking for an exciting opportunity to work on a major industrial project? You will perform electrical installation, maintenance and testing activities in a large-scale industrial construction environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics
  • Install cable tray, conduit, grounding systems, lighting, and power distribution systems
  • Pull, terminate, and test electrical conductors and cables
  • Assist with the installation of industrial equipment and systems
  • Perform testing to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
  • Collaborate with superintendents’ other trades to complete work safely and efficiently
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments
  • Adhere to all Ledcor and project safety policies, procedures, and site permit requirements

Qualifications

  • Provincially recognized Journeyperson Electrician certification
  • Minimum 3+ years of industrial construction experience preferred
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Physically capable of performing demanding construction work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment
  • Valid issued government photo Identification
  • Project-specific online orientations must be completed

Work Conditions

  • 10 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule
  • Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
  • Weekly payment of wages
  • No camp or travel allowance provided
  • Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
