The Mobile Team Lead is responsible for ensuring nightly business in the department is conducted in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This is accomplished by providing oversight and guidance to the Mobile team while delegating extra tasks to other drivers on their team when necessary. In addition to the regular duties of being a Mobile Officer, the Mobile Team lead will be tasked with the following additional tasks.

Essential Job Duties:

• Always conduct themselves in a professional manner when dealing with team members.

• Provide direction and motivation to the Mobile team by setting positive examples and high standards.

• Provide critical feedback and coaching to Mobile Officers either during their shifts, or at shift change each day. This should be done with a high level of discretion.

• Recognize exceptional performance by Mobile Security Officers and issue or recommend accolades where due.

• Escalate internal incidents according to the After-Hours Hierarchy Chart and recommend disciplinary action where necessary to the Mobile Coordinator/Supervisor.

• Ensure hub posts and notes are signed off on and emails are read by the Mobile team. Hold individuals accountable for following this process and escalate as necessary when they do not follow it.

• Assist in the investigation of security incidents and provide necessary details through proper chain of command (i.e. Mobile Supervisor or Management) for follow up.

• Engage is vehicle maintenance inspections and report deficiencies.

• Conduct equipment inspections and report deficiencies.

• Able to respond to alarms, delegate additional tasks to the mobile team, and conduct (or delegate) hourly radio check-ins.

• Oversee and ensure proper procedures are followed among the mobile team for alarm responses (Call back Operations/Monitoring, etc.)

• Submit a daily report to Mobile Supervisor of that shift's activities, challenges, successes, delegated tasks, suggestions from the team and any actionable items.

Shift/Hours Required :

Full-time, 2-2-3 rotating schedule: Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat Week 2: Sun, Wed, Thu (Schedule repeats every two weeks)

Wage : $19-20 per hour

Requirements:

• Full class- 5 Driver License (GDL is not accepted)

• Able to provide a drivers abstract

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Alberta Security License

• Must be comfortable with walking/patrolling through commercial business towers

• Previous Security experience would be an asset

• Previous team lead/ supervisor experience would be an asset.

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid Unrestricted Alberta Drivers License
