The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Draftsperson/CAD Technologist to join our team in Portage la Prairie, MB or as a remote employee ideally within southern Manitoba. The primary responsibility of this position is to design site layouts for grain handling, feed milling, and fertilizer facilities using AutoCAD or Navisworks and Revit depending on the candidates experience with these platforms. This position will also focus on supporting the design team by creating equipment lists and various other documentation required for the facility design. Responsibilities:
- Design site layouts using AutoCAD, or Navisworks and Revit for facilities for the grain, feed milling, fertilizer industries.
- Work with our team to design and launch new products required for the facility layouts.
- Work effectively in a collaborative design team and with other departments, customers, and suppliers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) is preferred but will also take into consideration general experience in the industry and good working knowledge of the design software platforms.
- 3-5 years relevant experience in facility layout, ideally in the material handling industry.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, or Navisworks and Revit.
- SolidWorks experience is considered an asset.
- Well-developed understanding of facility design and mechanical machinery.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- A farm, agricultural or bulk material handling background will be considered an advantage.

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
