Yellowknife Senior Officer for Medical Travel

Support healthcare access in Yellowknife as a Senior Medical Travel Officer, specializing in patient benefit communication and travel documentation. Make a meaningful impact in the community. Reporting to the Medical Travel Manager, your role will entail interpreting and explaining medical travel entitlements. You'll process both patient and vendor travel documents, ensuring timely and confidential handling while authorizing expenditures as needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and communicate travel benefit entitlements clearly
- Process necessary travel documentation for patients and vendors
- Authorize expenditure commitments efficiently
- Maintain patient confidentiality and security
- Liaise with service providers and health professionals
- Post-secondary degree in healthcare or health administration
- Two years of customer service experience in healthcare
- Familiarity with the NWT geography and healthcare system
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Criminal record check prerequisite
