About Us

The Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage (CCTH) helps build vibrant, inclusive, and accessible communities across Nova Scotia. Through our work, we support quality of life for Nova Scotians while helping create memorable visitor experiences. We value the diversity of our people and heritage and believe culture plays an important role in building healthy, active, and growing communities.

Tourism Nova Scotia, a division of CCTH, works to attract visitors and grow the value of tourism to Nova Scotia’s economy. We do this through research, experience and sector development, business coaching, marketing, and visitor servicing. Join us and contribute to work that supports tourism businesses, strengthens communities, and helps showcase Nova Scotia to the world.

About Our Opportunity

Your work will help create opportunities for communities and businesses across Nova Scotia.

As Market Development Specialist, you will lead business-to-business programming that helps increase visitation from priority markets. You will build strong partner relationships, promote Nova Scotia as a vacation destination, support marketing partnerships, and contribute to the development of export-ready products and itineraries.

You will plan, deliver, evaluate, and improve programs that strengthen Nova Scotia’s presence in key markets and support tourism businesses in growing through partnership and sales opportunities.

You will also manage budgets, coordinate partner communications, monitor deliverables, and use results and feedback to inform recommendations and continuous improvement

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.

If you are looking for an opportunity to build meaningful partnerships, support tourism growth, and contribute to work that has province-wide impact, we would welcome your application.

Assets for this role include:

  • Destination marketing and/or sales experience.
  • Experience working with travel trade partners.
  • Experience collaborating with tourism partners on projects and providing strategic advice.
