Educational Assistant

Eagle's Nest Youth Ranch is recruiting a Full-Time Permanent Educational Assistant. We are an organization dedicated to working with vulnerable youth who are experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. We are currently seeking  Full Time Education Assistant to work in our Christopher Lake classrooms Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.

As an Education Assistant, you will work under the guidance and supervision of the classroom teacher. You will be required to:
> Promote an atmosphere of respect for students and adults
> Provide a positive, caring and safe school environment
> Demonstrate ethical and confidential behavior
> Show patience and understanding towards students
> Makes a positive contribution to the school's functions and activities
> Carry out teacher directed activities to reach the student's established goals

Qualifications:
> Legally entitled to work in Canada
> Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with the students
> Ability to be a team player
> Prior related work experience, education, and additional skills will be taken into consideration (e.g. woodworking, mechanical, music).

Mandatory employment requirements:
> Clear Criminal Record Clearance with a vulnerable sector check
> Valid Class 5 Drivers License
> Valid First Aid/CPR-C
