Manager of Procurement Governance Strategy

Shape procurement practices with a focus on governance and compliance. This managerial position ensures effective reporting and streamlined operations for the City’s procurement initiatives. As the Manager of Procurement Governance and Reporting, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Procurement and Supply Services. This role is pivotal for aligning procurement activities with the City’s goals while enhancing compliance. Your leadership will include managing employees and developing procedures that ensure transparency in procurement systems across departments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain procurement operating procedures
  • Lead employee performance and development initiatives
  • Monitor compliance and address audit findings
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Prepare Council reports and address inquiries
Requirements:
  • Degree in related field, such as Finance or Business
  • 5-7 years in a procurement governance role
  • Demonstrated management experience
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Certifications in Supply Chain Management is beneficial
