Lead building services at The Shores, a Verve Elite residence, using facilities leadership and preventative maintenance expertise. Support resident well-being through safe, clean operations.Verve Senior Living seeks a Director of Building Services for a modern retirement residence. You will oversee maintenance, building systems, housekeeping, and laundry operations. The position requires management experience, knowledge of regulated environments, and strong organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities:
Lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operationsOversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systemsMaintain preventative maintenance and asset management programsManage departmental budgets, inventories, schedules, and vendorsConduct audits, training, recruitment, and performance reviewsRequirements:
Building Operators Certificate or recognized Ontario skilled tradeMinimum five years management experience in relevant operationsKnowledge of Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, and TSSAStrong computer, organizational, leadership, and crisis management skillsProficient English and resident-focused professional approachApply building systems knowledge, operational leadership, and resident-focused service to The Shores’ maintenance and environmental services.
