The Durham District School Board acknowledges that many Indigenous Nations have longstanding relationships, both historic and modern, with the territories upon which our school board and schools are located. • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow.

• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications and additional information:

• Required subject qualifications: I/S Math; I/S Physical Education; Intermediate Business
• FTE: 1.0
• Grade(s)/assignment: 9-12
• Tentative course codes (if known):
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Secondary Permanent Salary Range: $57,986 to $119,967/year (Placement on salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience. Salary will be pro-rated based on the position FTE).

1. First Consideration: Teachers covered by the OSSTF Permanent Teachers' Collective Agreement (1.0., 0.5, Article 10 teachers) who possess the required qualifications.(For clarity, an Article 10 teacher is a day school teacher at Durham Continuing Education who has signed a contract with the Board They are considered Article 10 for the school year.)
2. Second Consideration: Candidates from outside of the OSSTF permanent bargaining unit.

To assist in the preparation of applicants who will be offered an interview, candidates are asked to prepare a 15-minute response (format of your choice) that will outline the following for your specific subject area:

What does your ideal classroom look like? With evidence, describe the conditions you will establish in terms of:

1. Fostering a sense of belonging
2. Instructional strategies
3. Assessment and evaluation

Interviews will be held in-person on Monday, June 29th, 2026.
