Director Treasury Balance Sheet Risk

Lead treasury and balance sheet risk oversight at Vancity through liquidity expertise, independent challenge, and senior stakeholder influence in a hybrid role.As Director, Treasury and Balance Sheet Risk, you will provide enterprise-wide financial risk leadership. You will assess liquidity, funding, interest rate, and market risks while translating complex analysis into clear senior-level insights. Reporting to the Vice President, Risk Management - Finance & Treasury, you will partner with Treasury, Finance, and related functions.Key Responsibilities:
Lead independent oversight of treasury and balance sheet risksChallenge strategies, exposures, limits, assumptions, models, and practicesMonitor exposures and emerging trends against risk appetiteEvaluate stress-testing and scenario-analysis outcomes for vulnerabilitiesReport and escalate material exposures, breaches, and concernsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant disciplineAt least 10 years’ progressively responsible financial risk experienceDeep knowledge of liquidity, funding, interest rate, and market riskExperience providing independent oversight and constructive senior challengeRelevant professional designation such as Financial Risk ManagerBring strategic judgment, quantitative expertise, and governance experience to Vancity’s treasury and balance sheet risk leadership.
