Electrical Equipment Specialist

Facilities Maintenance plays an integral part in the continued success and future vision of the Vancouver Airport Authority. We have two permanent, full time Electrician positions available in our Facilities Maintenance Department. This role works as a member of a cross functional team, and the successful candidate will perform all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems within the Airport Authority buildings and assets. Repairing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment including Automatic Microcomputer and PLC control systems Multiple HMI Systems including Fire Alarm, General Alarm, etc Electrical infrastructure from 69kv to 120V HVAC controls Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently, with little supervision Proactive and customer focused Valid BC driver’s license (class 5 or better) Although not required, French language skills are an asset as we are committed to providing bilingual services to our visitors and passengers. This helps us meet federal language obligations while ensuring a welcoming experience. Candidates who do not speak French are still strongly encouraged to apply. Shift work is required as the Maintenance Department operates on a 24-hour basis. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.
