Part-Time Dean of Law in Brantford

Wilfrid Laurier University is in search of a part-time Dean of Law to lead the establishment of a new JD program in Brantford, Ontario. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of legal education. As Dean, you will be at the forefront of developing the JD program and Faculty of Law. Your role includes engaging with legal bodies, forming partnerships, and advocating for social justice and Indigenous perspectives in law education. You'll be instrumental in driving innovative practices that resonate within the community. Key Responsibilities:
- Shape the direction of the JD program and Faculty of Law
- Engage with the Federation of Law Societies and Law Society of Ontario
- Establish partnerships with legal and Indigenous stakeholders
- Drive government relations and fundraising strategies
- Contribute to the Centre of Excellence on justice issues
- Experience as a dean or emeritus faculty member at a Canadian law school
- Leadership track record in innovative legal education
- Deep connections within the Ontario legal community
- Commitment to social justice and inclusive governance
- Expertise in community engagement and Indigenization
