Accounts Receivable Representative

At IMP Solutions, we provide IT products, and IT and business consulting services to our clients across Canada. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team.
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Receivable Representative plays a key role in supporting financial operations. This position is responsible for managing client accounts, overseeing collections, and supporting billing and intercompany processes. The role works closely with sales, finance, and the Corporate Credit Manager within IMP Group International to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
What You Will Do:
Accounts Receivable & Collections:
- Respond to client account inquiries, resolving discrepancies and providing requested information.
- Contact delinquent clients to collect outstanding balances while maintaining positive relationships.
- Provide invoice copies, statements, and supporting documentation as required.
- Perform client account reconciliations and resolve variances.
Payment Processing:
- Process and record credit card payments accurately and on time.
- Ensure proper application of payments to customer accounts.
- Prepare and post intercompany invoices as required.
- Gather and provide sales sample documentation for external auditors as required.
- Work with the sales team to address client account issues.
- Collaborate with finance team members on reporting and account accuracy.
Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as required to support the finance function.

What You Need to Succeed:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years experience in accounts receivable or collections.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
