Crisis Worker CASUAL

Battlefords Interval House help women and children move beyond intimate partner violence by providing safe shelter, education and support services. Our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our team is dedicated to empowering women by providing them with the best support possible. Job Duties:
Provides support to women and their children.
Assesses clients immediate needs.
Assists clients to develop a case plan.
Assists clients in locating and utilizing community resources including housing, financial assistance, employment, legal, transportation, childcare, and more.
Completes client documentation and statistical reporting.
Offers 1 to 1 support with clients.
Offers educational group support with clients.
Maintains a high standard of health and safety procedures.
Maintain strict client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Post- Secondary education in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Minimum education: Grade 12.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to respond calmly and appropriately in crisis situations.
Ability to complete accurate documentation and maintain confidentiality.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to manage work-related stress and emotionally demanding situations.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of interpersonal violence and crisis intervention strategies
Knowledge of diverse cultural values, beliefs and practices.
Knowledge of community resources in the Battlefords
Hours of work: 8 & 12- hour shifts with daytime availability
