Job Title: IBM i (AS400/iSeries) Production Support Analyst - Billing Platform
Experience: 6–8 Years
Location: Brampton, ON (Hybrid – 2–3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 6–12 Months
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM i (AS400) Production Support Analyst to provide production support for IBM i (AS400/iSeries) billing applications, ensuring high system availability, incident resolution, and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for IBM i (AS400/iSeries) billing applications and meet SLA targets.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues.
- Monitor and manage batch jobs, job scheduling, job queues, and batch recovery.
- Perform data fixes, file maintenance, system debugging, and production deployments.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure system stability.
- Implement operational improvements and support 24x7 critical incident resolution.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with IBM i (AS400/iSeries) production support and billing platforms.
- Proficiency in CL (Control Language) and RPG/RPGLE (ILE RPG) .
- Experience with batch processing, job scheduling, job queues, job logs, spool files, and system messages.
- Hands-on experience with data fixes, file maintenance, and system-level debugging.
- Exposure to automation scripting, monitoring tools, and batch recovery strategies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
