- Balayer les articles
- Déterminer le montant total dû pour des produits ou services
- Recevoir les paiements pour des produits ou services
- Calculer les montants perçus de la journée et les concilier avec le chiffre total des ventes
- Vente suggestive
- Garnir les tablettes et nettoyer les comptoirs autour de la caisse
- Accueillir les clients
- Prendre les réservations et les commandes à emporter
- Emballer ou mettre les marchandises dans des sacs
- Fournir le service à la clientèle
- Calculer les taux de change des devises étrangères
- Surveiller les allées et venues et demander la preuve de paiement lorsque nécessaire
- Participer aux activités promotionelles
- Vérifier l'âge des clients qui achètent des billets de loterie, de l'alcool ou des produits de tabac
- Préparer des rapports sur les chiffres de ventes, les techniques marchandes et les problèmes reliés au personnel
- Travail de bureau (p.ex.. télécopie, classement, photocopie)
- Assembler et installer la marchandise ou les produits
