Position:  Consulting Registered Dietitian

Start Date: July 1st, 2026

Hours: 20 hours per week (80 hours per month)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document residents’ nutritional and hydration status.
• Develop, evaluate, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans for residents.
• Provide counselling and education to residents, and monitor high risk residents.
• Review and approve menus, including therapeutic and texture-modified diets and seasonal menus.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Deliver in-service education to staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian eligible for membership with the College of Dietitians of Ontario .
• Experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.
• Knowledge of interRAI and PointClickCare is preferred.
• Must hold professional liability insurance .
• Must have at least two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine .
• Must have a TB test and Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the past six months.
