Financial Analyst

About the Opportunity

 

• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple corporate entities, including recording transactions and preparing account reconciliations.
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial statements and departmental expense reports in a timely manner.
• Support the monthly financial consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and data uploads into the consolidation system.
• Prepare quarterly and annual audit working papers and supporting documentation, including financial statement note disclosures.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting by preparing supporting schedules, conducting variance analysis, and consolidating forecasts.
• Manage daily cash accounting and reporting, including cash and intercompany reconciliations.
• Coordinate and process monthly intercompany settlements and funding transactions as required.
• Prepare divisional and consolidated cash flow analyses and reporting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital expenditures, borrowing, and investment activities.
• Oversee day-to-day banking activities and resolve banking-related issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and treasury operations.
• Complete required government reporting, including Statistics Canada and Bureau of Economic Analysis surveys.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned..

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA designation (or actively pursuing CPA certification) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Sage 50, Prophix, or similar ERP/accounting systems is considered an asset.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach, strong sense of ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Pay Range
$29 - $35/hour
