As the largest school district in BC, we recruit for a high volume of teaching opportunities. To streamline this process, teacher vacancies are posted through our Weekly Teacher Bulletin rather than being advertised individually on Make a Future.

BULLETIN POSTING SCHEDULE:

Summer Bulletin : Opens July 23, 2026 4:00 PM and closes August 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM

After August through March: Open Thursday - Close Monday

Exception - Following a statutory holiday: Open Thursday - Close Tuesday

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Education degree (Elementary or Secondary)
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
• Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS)
• In-depth understanding of the BC curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies that support the success of all learners in an inclusive, student-centered environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
• Passion for creating engaging, creative, and inclusive learning environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

REQUIRED APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:

• Cover Letter (clearly indicate your teachable subjects)
• Copy of your BC Teaching Certificate
• Three professional references, including: Professional email addresses, phone numbers, and your current Principal and/or Vice-Principal or, Previous Administrator(s), where applicable

Salary range is $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.  Surrey Schools Salary Grid
