Surgical Clinic

Seeking a permanent Medical Office Assistant for a one physician General Surgery clinical practice starting October 2026 (start date flexible). Office is shared amongst three other surgeons with their own independent practices.

Responsibilities will include answering the phone for patient and hospital inquiries, running clinic days (1-2 per week), scheduling and confirming appointments (endoscopy, outpatient department, and clinic), submitting OR booking slips, invoicing for non-insured medical services, electronic filing of documents into patient charts, and other sundry duties from time to time. Depending on prior experience, this may also include proofreading consultation reports.

Experience: Prior medical office experience is strongly preferred but those without will also be considered.

Qualifications:
- Familiarity with MS Word and Outlook
- Knowledge and proficiency of ACCURO EMR system
- Intermediate computer skills
- Basic medical terminology (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional phone etiquette with excellent communication skills
- Organized with the ability to multitask and work independently
- Able to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good command of English language (written, spoken, read)

Work Setting:
- Work hours from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM - Monday through Friday (some flexibility available)
- Clinic located in Regina near the Regina General Hospital with free parking provided
- Hourly rate: $17-25 depending on level of experience, negotiable
- Orientation will be provided to help transition into new position
