The Hatch Digital team is accelerating the development of technology-enabled solutions that complement our deep consulting and engineering expertise. We are seeking an experienced Global Tailings Product Leader to define and drive the future of our digital tailings solutions serving the global mining industry.  

The Role  

As the Global Tailings Product Leader, you will lead the vision, strategy, commercialization, and growth of Hatch's global tailings digital product portfolio. This is a market-facing product leadership role focused on business outcomes, client value, and industry impact.  

You will work at the intersection of tailings expertise, digital innovation, and commercial strategy to ensure our solutions address critical industry challenges while delivering measurable value for clients worldwide.  

Reporting to the Managing Director, Digital, you will collaborate closely with Hatch's Tailings Practice, Regional Directors, product development teams, and clients to guide the product's evolution from market opportunity through commercial growth and market leadership.  

As the Successful Candidate, You Will  

Product Strategy & Leadership  

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Hatch's tailings digital product portfolio.  

• Identify client challenges, market opportunities, and emerging industry trends to guide product direction.  

• Establish product priorities and investment decisions that balance client needs, business objectives , and technology opportunities.  

• Monitor product performance, adoption, and commercial success metrics.  

Market Development & Thought Leadership  

• Help position Hatch as a recognized global leader in digital tailings management.  

• Develop a clear market perspective on the future of tailings management and digital transformation.  

• Represent Hatch at industry conferences, client forums, and professional associations.  

• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including presentations, webinars, articles, and industry engagement activities.  

Collaboration with Tailings and Commercial Teams  

• Partner with Hatch's global Tailings Practice to ensure solutions address evolving client and industry needs.  

• Collaborate with Regional Directors and business development teams to support strategic pursuits and market growth initiatives.  

• Translate client and operational challenges into scalable digital product opportunities.  

• Support go-to-market strategies, value proposition development, and sales enablement activities.  

Product Development Partnership  

• Work closely with Product Owners and development teams to define product priorities and long-term direction.  

• Provide market, client, and business insights that shape product development decisions.  

• Ensure product investments remain aligned with commercial objectives and client value creation.  

Commercial Growth  

• Support commercialization strategies, pricing approaches, product positioning, and market expansion efforts.  

• Drive adoption and market awareness through internal and external stakeholder engagement.  

• Contribute to business cases and investment recommendations that support product growth.  

Y ou Bring  To The Role  

Required  

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.  

• Significant experience in tailings management, mine waste management, mining operations, water management, geotechnical governance, or related mining disciplines.  

• Demonstrated experience leading products, technology-enabled services, major business initiatives, or operational transformation programs.  

• Strong understanding of mining industry operations, tailings governance, risk management, and client decision-making processes.  

• Experience developing business cases, product strategies, commercial plans, and growth initiatives.  

• Proven ability to engage senior client stakeholders and influence decision-making.  

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.  

Preferred  

• Experience with digital products, SaaS platforms, mining technology, industrial software, or operational technology solutions.  

• Experience bringing new products or technology-enabled offerings to market.  

• Familiarity with Agile product development environments.  

• Experience presenting at industry conferences, publishing thought leadership, or contributing to industry initiatives.  

• Experience working within a global and matrixed organization.
