Merck seeks a Key Account Manager for its Companion Animal Business Unit to develop and manage strategic accounts across Canada. The role involves building long-term client relationships, implementing account growth plans, and collaborating across sales, marketing, and veterinary services teams.

Responsibilities

Implement key account management model within Companion Animal Business Unit accounts
Develop deep understanding of customer needs and create differentiated value propositions
Establish relationships and partnerships with emerging and established key accounts
Coordinate account sponsorships, conferences, promotional initiatives, and related projects
Provide targeted sales support for key accounts including client visits and deal execution

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business management, or related field
Strong experience in animal health product sales or equivalent key account management experience
Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to close complex, large-scale deals
Proven success managing accounts and building client relationships at multiple levels
Analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to collaborate with and influence multidisciplinary teams
French fluency required for Quebec-based candidates

Compensation: $81,280–$121,920 CAD base
