Part time Nanny

We are looking for a warm, reliable and caring nanny to provide part time care for our four month old. It is important to us that our daughter is exposed to Tagalog, so ideally we are looking for someone who is comfortable speaking primarily Tagalog with her throughout the day. Schedule: We are looking for someone one day per week to start, with the possibility of increasing hours in the New Year. The approximate shift would be 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, with some flexibility. The day can be Monday–Friday and can either be the same day each week or vary depending on availability. Our daughter is the priority. We really value one-on-one interaction and are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with infants. A typical day may include playing together, reading books, going for walks, attending local playgroups and providing lots of age-appropriate interaction and attention. While our daughter is sleeping or happily playing independently, we would appreciate help with light household tasks when time allows. This could include laundry, vacuuming, dishes and some simple meal preparation. We do not expect household duties to take priority over caring for our daughter. We have both a cat and a dog, so you must be comfortable having pets in the home. There are no pet-care responsibilities associated with the position. Reliability is extremely important to our family. Mom will be returning to work one day per week and works with scheduled patients, so last-minute cancellations can be very difficult to accommodate. No vehicle is required. We live close to a SkyTrain station, making our home easily accessible by transit. We are hoping to find someone who can become a consistent and trusted part of our daughter's routine and potentially take on additional hours as our family's needs grow. If this sounds like a good fit, we would love to hear a little about you, your infant-care experience, your availability, and your experience speaking Tagalog with children.
